Kangda Electric Furnace Thyristor Water-Jacket Cooling Inspection

Aug 03,2023

The thyristor is clamped inside a cooling water jacket, and cooling is achieved by circulating water through the jacket. It’s important to periodically check the water passages in the water jacket every six months. If the water flow is inadequate, it could lead to damage of the thyristor.

When replacing the thyristor, remove the fixing screw at one end of the water jacket, loosen the three tightening screws of the water jacket, install the appropriate thyristor, and then tighten the water jacket’s tightening screws again. When tightening the three water jacket tightening screws, make sure that all three screws are tightened evenly and with equal force.
