Regular Maintenance and Servicing of Shandong Kanda Electric Furnace Equipment

Jul 08,2023

The safe operation of your equipment requires careful maintenance. Kangda Electric Furnace would like to kindly remind you to perform regular equipment maintenance according to the following guidelines.

Potential risks

Check-in time

1

Check whether there are any metal chips or other debris on the induction coil.

Users melting iron filings should regularly use an air hose to blow away the iron filings around the induction coil. If iron filings ignite, it could lead to equipment failure.

Every day before firing the kiln

2

Inspect the lining condition of the furnace.

If the furnace lining becomes too thin, it should be rebuilt promptly. Once the furnace is severely damaged to the point of perforation, it could even pose a danger to human life.

Once every six months

3

Check that the bolts on the water-cooled cable are securely tightened, and ensure there are no conductive materials or water around the cable.

Due to constant movement, the connection bolts of water-cooled cables are prone to loosening and sparking. If there are conductive materials or water around the cable, it could lead to poor insulation.

Once every six months

4

Is the water circulation in the reactor coil unobstructed, and are there any blockages in the water nozzles?

The water nozzle of the reactor shows severe electrolysis, so it’s necessary to periodically check whether the nozzle is blocked.

Once every six months

5

In summer, water evaporation and loss are more severe; ensure that the water tank's spray water remains fully filled at all times.

Water shortages can easily lead to reduced cooling efficiency, causing a sudden rise in water temperature inside the equipment and thereby damaging internal components.

Every day before firing the kiln

6

For winter equipment using circulating water with antifreeze, the antifreeze must be completely drained and replaced with fresh, pure water.

After antifreeze is added to the circulating water, its heat dissipation and cooling performance is significantly reduced, and the antifreeze also has a corrosive effect on copper pipes.
