Steel ball rolling production line
Jun 21,2023
The rolling of steel balls is a forging process that originated in the former Soviet Union, also known as the oblique rolling process for steel balls. The oblique rolling equipment consists primarily of two rolls that are not parallel but intersect each other and rotate in the same direction around their respective axes.
The principle relies on the frictional force generated between the rolls and the workpiece to drive the workpiece into rotational motion and forward movement. This type of rolling is also known as spiral rolling. The materials subjected to this rolling process include medium-carbon steel, low-alloy steel, and medium-alloy steel. Since the rolling process allows for continuous forming of long billets and continuous production of finished products, it boasts very high productivity.
