On May 25, the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued the “Notice on Transmission and Distribution Prices and Related Matters for the Third Cycle of the Shandong Power Grid” (Lu Fa Gai Jia Ge [2023] No. 393, hereinafter referred to as the “Notice”).

The new provincial grid transmission and distribution tariffs will take effect from June 1, 2023. That is, electricity charges generated in June (billed in July) will be calculated according to the new tariff policy.

According to the “Notice of the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission on Relevant Matters Concerning the Time-of-Use Electricity Pricing Policy for Industry and Commerce” (Lu Fa Gai Jia Ge [2022] No. 997), the deep-valley period will not be implemented from June to August 2023, while the peak period will be extended from 18:00 to 22:00. Please adjust your electricity load promptly in light of the changes in time-of-use electricity prices and transmission and distribution tariffs to avoid sudden increases in electricity costs.
