Next, I’ll walk you through the operation procedure and precautions for medium-frequency induction furnaces.

Medium-Frequency Induction Furnace Manufacturer: Operation Procedures and Precautions for Medium-Frequency Induction Furnaces

  Precautions for Medium-Frequency Induction Furnaces:

Water resource shortages in long-term use Medium-frequency electric furnace During the process, the cooling water pipes may become scaled, or water debris caused by overheating and failure of the capacitor could clog the capacitor. Therefore, when monitoring the coolant flow through the capacitor, exercise caution. If any abnormal discharge is detected, appropriate measures should be taken immediately.

  2. The cathode of the electrolytic capacitor must be grounded. If the furnace method is used, it could damage the electrical insulation of the capacitor and cause a ground fault. Since the ground fault originates from the cathode of the capacitor, the insulating materials in the capacitor cabinet must undergo post-treatment.

  3. If the voltage is too high, medium-frequency operation will be prolonged during this process. Moreover, if the capacity of the high-frequency transmission line exceeds the rated voltage (with a general standard of 750V or lower, or 1200V and above), the power capacitors may fail. In such cases, to adjust the voltage level, it is necessary to reduce either the RF or the high-voltage power capacitor model.

 Medium-frequency electric furnace

The operation process of a medium-frequency induction furnace:

  1. Before starting the furnace, make sure that the electrical equipment, water cooling system, sensor copper tubing, and other components are undamaged; otherwise, absolutely do not start the furnace.

  2. If the melt loss exceeds the specified limit, it must be repaired promptly. Melting inside the furnace is strictly prohibited, otherwise the melt loss will be too great.

  3. Someone must be assigned to handle the transfer and furnace startup. After the transfer is complete, touching the sensors and cables is strictly prohibited. On-duty personnel must not leave their posts without authorization. Please pay close attention to the external conditions of the sensors and crucibles.

  4. During the charging process, please check whether the furnace charge contains any flammable or explosive hazardous substances. If such substances are found, they must be removed promptly. It is strictly prohibited to directly add cold, wet materials into the molten steel. Furthermore, it is strictly forbidden to add large chunks of material once the molten steel has filled the furnace to the top, as this could lead to clogging.

  5. During furnace repair and crucible production, it is prohibited to mix iron sheets with iron oxide, and the crucibles must be tightly compacted.

  6. The ladle pouring area and the mine pit must be free of obstructions and kept free of standing water to prevent molten steel from exploding and splashing onto the ground.

  7. Do not overfill the molten steel. When pouring directly from the ladle, ensure that the molten steel flows smoothly and steadily without any pauses.

  8. The medium-frequency generator room must be kept clean, and it is strictly prohibited to bring flammable, explosive materials or any other debris into the room.

That’s all for today’s explanation. Thank you for watching, and I wish you all a happy life!
